Intermediate Schools Cup is an annual volleyball festival targeted at year 9 and 10 high school students. Catering to approximately 2,000 students over three days, athletes of all skill levels are welcome. This event is typically held during term two.

Divisions: Year 9* / Year 10* / Year 9 Honours* / Year 10 Honours*
Price: $*** per team (Honours) / $*** per team (Divisions 1 & 2)
Venue: Gold Coast, including Coomera Indoor Sports Centre, Gold Coast Sport and Leisure Centre (Carrara), Runaway Bay Indoor Sports Centre.

Membership: All athletes must be current financial members of VQ.

*All team members must be in the specified year level or lower.

Schools will be invoiced after the nominations closing date.

Terms and conditions

  • PAYMENT

    Price: $725 per team (Honours) / $625 per team (Divisions 1 & 2). Schools will be invoiced after the nominations closing date.

    A membership check will be conducted before the event, however please call the VQ office on 3367 1991 to confirm the membership status if unsure.

    If you are unsure of whether you are a current member or not you can search your emails for "VQID" or email db@vq.org.au.

    VQ membership expires every year on 31 March and must be renewed yearly. Membership is compulsory to attend VQ competitions for insurance purposes.

    REFUND POLICY

    Withdrawal of teams is permitted, however the following penalties will apply:

    Prior to close of Nominations: No penalty, Full Refund
    Prior to draw release: 50% of Nomination Fee
    After draw release: Forfeit Full Nomination Fee

    All withdrawals must be submitted in writing to Connor O'Neill, Events Coordinator at: operations@vq.org.au

    Teams who withdraw after the tournament has started and fail to complete their scheduled matches will incur a fine of up to $100 per team per match forfeited. Where teams can provide evidence of being prevented from playing due to circumstances beyond their control, no fine will be applied. These decisions will be made at the discretion of VQ.

    Late payments will incur a penalty fee of $30.
