CAMP DETAILS:

~ Years 6 to 11 (2008 – 2014 inclusive)
~ 8:00am to 3:10pm / 9:20am to 4:30pm
~ Location: Brooker Stadium, Kelvin Grove State College
~ Fees: $350
~ VQ Membership required (recreational level only).

As part of the camp athletes will receive the following items upon check-in:
Pirates Camp water bottle
Pirates Camp t-shirt
*Please note that you will receive the shirt size that you order in this form and there will not be an option for sizing exchanges. Sizing typically runs small so we recommend ordering a size up.
FORMAT:
Three volleyball sessions of 1h 20 min each with two 1h 20 min breaks in between
Boys camp and girls camp alternate sessions on court (i.e., when boys are playing volleyball, girls are on break and vice versa)
Educational sessions during one of two breaks (e.g., refereeing, volleyball pathways, strength & conditioning, etc.)
SAMPLE SCHEDULE - DAY 1: (SAMPLE ONLY AND NOT THE ACTUAL TIMETABLE)
8:00am - Girls check-in
8:30am to 9:50am - Girls Camp - volleyball session 1
9:20am - Boys check-in
9:50pm to 11:10am - Boys Camp - volleyball session 1 / Girls Camp - Volleyball Pathways
11:10am to 12:30pm - Girls Camp volleyball session 2 / Boys Camp - Volleyball Pathways
12:30pm to 1:50pm - Boys Camp volleyball session 2 / Girls Camp - Break for lunch
1:50pm to 3:10pm - Girls Camp volleyball session 3 & Boys Camp - Break for lunch
3:10pm - Girls pick-up
3:10pm to 4:30pm - Boys Camp volleyball session 3
4:30pm - Boys pick-up
*The boys and girls camp will alternate starting on the first session. This means that if the girls camp starts at 8:30am on Day 1, then the boys camp starts at 8:30am on Day 2. Actual confirmed schedule will be sent out via email*
WHAT TO BRING:
You will receive an email with the exact schedule the week prior to the camp start date.
For the camp, athletes will need to bring the following:
Packed lunch
Snacks and plenty of water
Change of clothes, just in case
Sports gear
Sports shoes/court shoes
Protective gear (knee pads, ankle guards if owned)
